Pete Roper
Vice President of Sales, Central and Eastern Regions
Pete brings more than 14 years experience in the advertising and marketing industry to Mojiva where he is charged with leading the mobile brand teams for the Eastern and Central regions. Most recently, Pete was the Sr. Director, Digital for industry heavy weight Advertising Age where he was responsible for driving online revenue for AdAge.com, Creativity-Online.com and building out the Ad Age’s digital category business which included the successful launch of the Ad Age’s annual Audience Buying Guide, growth of Ad Age’s Digital and CaT Conferences, and the brand’s extension into the mobile space through a series of WAP and App extensions.
Previously, Pete cut his teeth in the start-up world at Tremor Media, an online video ad network, as one of their first sales hires, where he held the position of regional sales manager. Prior to that, he held the position of director of strategic sales at CBS Radio.
In 2005 he was a top salesperson at Advertising Age where he was responsible for selling Ad Age’s first ever single sponsored issue. Mr. Roper began his first 7 year tenure at Crain Communications at Electronic Media now known as Television Week.
Mr. Roper is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He currently serves on the Mobile Advertising Committee for the Mobile Marketing Association and the Mobile and Sales Executive council for the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
